Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she took flute lessons as well as the harpsichord for three consecutive years. She survived on a student allowance and worked part-time in order to make ends meet. Lennox as she was studying in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was dissatisfied in her performance when as compared to the performance of her peers. She began considering other options. Lennox became part of the group Dragons Playground as the flute player in 1976. However, she left before the band was invited to compete on I.T.V.'s talent competition New Faces. She was the lead singer in The Tourists from 1977 until in 1980. She began to meet Dave Stewart, with whom formed the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox started work on Diva in 1992. This was her debut album as a solo artist. The album was a massive achievement, both in terms of the sales as well as critical acclaim. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album was Released in the month of October 2014. The C.D. Lennox has selected her top blues, soul and jazz tracks. Lepidoptera features four keyboard tracks. The E.P. is a companion piece of her artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now, I'll let You Go... It's the first time she has released an independent album. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on 25 December. She is a philanthropist, activist, and singer. After a brief successes as a part of the new wave band The Tourists in the late 1970s, Lennox and co-musician Dave Stewart went on to become internationally renowned as the duo known as Eurythmics during the 1980s. The album that Lennox released in 1992 Diva produced many successful songs like Why, the World is Broken Glass. Medusa is her studio album from 1995. It has covers of some songs, including The No MoreI love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. Six studio albums by her solo as well as a compilation album to her credit. |
